The Town’s work with the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT) on a pilot study to develop recommendations for a "RainReady" program has been completed. A survey was completed in the winter of 2019-2020, a community meeting was held on February 13th (the presentation from the meeting can be found in the "Related Documents" section below; the session was videotaped, and is available at this link), and CNT worked with staff and the Stormwater Advisory Commission to complete their report. (The report is available in the "Related Documents" section below.)
There have been flooding concerns for properties located along Toms Creek since the 1980s. In the past decade, there have been multiple storm events, and the Town has been placing increased attention on these concerns. The purpose of this page is to provide a resource for citizens interested in this topic to learn more, keep apprised as new activities are pursued, and to provide input. Please check back as information will be regularly updated.
An information session was held on June 26th, 2019. Related information is provided in the documents below, and a video of the session is available at this link.
