Town Manager
The Town Manager implements the policies of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen and communicate them to the citizenry; to be responsive to the community and to be responsive to the citizens' needs to consistently meet their requirements.

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk's office is responsible for recording official Town Council actions; preparing Town Council meeting agendas and minutes; maintaining official Town records; preparing updates to the Town Code; public record request management; advisory board application and appointment management; and providing support to the Mayor and Council.

Economic Development promotes and enhances the economic and financial well-being of Carrboro.

Finance
The Finance Department provides financial management support for the delivery of town-wide services through the administration of financial, budget, payroll, accounts payables, billing and collections, and project development through best business practices.

Fire-Rescue
The Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department is dedicated to protecting the lives, property, and environment of our community and visitors from the destructive effects of fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and life hazards through prompt and professional delivery of fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue, disaster preparedness, public education, and emergency medical response services.

The Housing and Community Services department is dedicated to addressing the Town’s priority of enhancing and sustaining the quality of life and place for everyone. Specifically, Housing and Community Services works to implement the Town’s affordable housing goals and its commitment to community nonprofits through Human Services funding.

Human Resources supports the organization's commitment to staff, develop and maintain a competent and committed workforce while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws governing municipal personnel activities.

Information Technology
OUR PURPOSE is to assist departments in delivering technology-based solutions that are cost-effective and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of various Town services. This is accomplished in a spirit of partnership and consultation with our stakeholders, which fosters a customer-focused environment that integrates people, processes, and technology.

Planning, Zoning & Inspections
The Planning Department serves the community’s land use, housing, environmental protection, transportation, and State Building Code needs through the formulation of plans, policy recommendations and enforcement of local ordinances.

Police
The Police Department protects people and property by providing law enforcement and community services necessary to maintain a safe living environment within the town.

Public Works
Public Works Department consists of seven divisions (Central Services, Engineering, Fleet Maintenance, Solid Waste, Stormwater, Streets & Grounds, and Supervision) working collaboratively to promote a healthier, more aesthetically pleasing environment for community through ever progressing projects, programs, and services.
